Convenient for a family. Placed within 10 minutes' car ride to Newton Stewart. We would be happy to recommend this hotel to family coming to Creetown.

The Hotel was in a very good area . The food was good value and tasty.
Our room wasn't serviced and we came back from a good day out to dirty tea cups and an unmade bed.

the history of the hotel,as it was setting for the film the wicker man,the landlord was friendly and helpful in relaying his tales regarding the film, his brother supplied the delicious breakfasts, and all staff friendly. The hotel is a charasmatic old building, and our room was huge, with a 4 poster.A good central base for exploring the various surrounding villages, that are quiet and pretty.

Friendly staff from arrival to departure. Clean rooms, good breakfast and everyone we met in the hotel (customers) were very friendly.
I think it needs refurbishment as it is a very old hotel and the carpets and fittings in the rooms need updating.
